I agree with AndrewS, and would add if someone has got something to offer for a D3 then why not let them post once if they sell and make no donation then refuse them the second time.

Interesting comments - you could create a nice balance here:
1) For members who have over 25 postings go straight into the normal for sale route (no fees etc as per normal)
2) For less than this a fee based system - you would need to spell this out on the site ( take through some guided pages for new members and any post less that 25 are pushed to more pages agreeing fees etc.)but basically open to people wanting to sell things (I would rather see stuff than not) but these sales go into a new forum "Non Member sales" or something. On this they are chargedc a % fee if sold to help develop the site.
I think what people want to protect is the integrity of the non commercial support people provide on D3.co.uk. As you can see I am pretty new myself but have already made a couple of mates and had fantastic support through the site. I have also contributed best I can for a newbie.
I think therefore it is all about how it is managed now I see the feeback - but then Im a newbie 56 Tonga Green HSE.

Thanks for all the input to this. I have taken the feedback on board and will now create a set of rules for advertising items for sale.
As a number of people have pointed out, there are numerous "what if" cases and the new rules will allow the moderating team to decide what the best approach is in each case, applying that rare asset - "common sense".06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

What about a prolific poster who pops over from the Dark Side ...
with a single Disco3 post, to give us the opportunity to purchase?
And could I get some coments on the above, Martin/Gareth.
As I intend to sell my wheels and as these are also suitable [and desirable] I would like to offer them over on the RRS/FFRR sites - but I've not posted there before!
A donation of course would be made to the site.
Please can I have your guidance.

Yes Ron, I would (if I were a dark-side-mod) apply common sense in that case.

Sorry for being thick, but does that mean I'm probably ok to post?
If so, I will mention that I'm from the Disco3 site and that a site donation will be made.
But, which site should I make this donation - the site they're sold on or the Disco3 site?
I do know though, that it goes into the same pot - but want to stay politically correct....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Yes your ok to post Ron if anyone complains, I'll stick up for you. To keep it simple, donate to whichever site you feel has made the sale possible, donations are voluntary and at your discretion.
