Potential EGR issue ?
While having a look to see what my MAP sensor looked like after 22k miles (pretty clean) I noticed that the EGR valve pipe on the right has a black, oily exhaust residue on it,which seems to be coming from the upper join.....I don't have any issues other than I think my engine is running a touch lumpier than it used to (the reason I was checking the MAP sensor)
So should I be getting this checked or is it not an issue ?
Left EGR pipe.....clean...

Did you investigate the EGRs further? I've not seen much discussion on here regarding D4 EGRs, which can only be a good thing! Looking online last night, D4 EGRs seems to be over £300 each, so I hope they are more reliable than the version fitted to the D3! When the weather improves I'll take the pipes off mine to see how gunked up they are.Previously:

Are D4 EGRs serviceable? ie, are we able to do DIY clean them? There must be a number of high miler D4s now, it would be good to know whether or not they have caused any issues thus far.D4 HSE all the way
