Sounds painful..........its hard to say without saying, or seeing the stats, age & spec of car, but i sounds like a very heavy back shunt, to move the car that far from a stand still.
hope you get the right result. Andym Expert Beverage

Crumple zone is normally the other vehicle. |

Well, I presume the good news is that it was not a hit and run. It is no joke when I say the crumple zone is normally the other vehicle.
Write off is kind of loose term. It really comes down to if the cost of repair is close to what is called the insurance write off value which is a number below dealer wholesale.
This means yes, if the 3 is say a model year 2005 or 06, probably a write off, but when you go to buy a similar replacement 3, you will end up out of pocket.
At least that is how it works here in Canada.
Not fun, any way you look at it.
Well, if there was any good news, I presume that neither you nor anyone in your family was in your 3 when it got bumped. 2005 LR3 HSE 4.4L AJ-V8 petrol; Traxide Dual Battery; PIAA 2500K Yellow Ion H11 Fog Light bulbs; CounterAct LT-2 Capacitive Corrosion control; LLumar AIR80 Blue clear Infra Red blocking side window film; Liftgate manual release; Schrader Valve "air in" mod to OEM air suspension reservoir tank; Akebono ceramic pads; OEM solid vented discs; LR4 design hitch receiver; Wiggs D4 MOST bluetooth module; Clock on the Dash; 3 Flash signal light mod; Backup Camera; 2015/16 Nav Data update.
