Picked up D4 today... few issues
Picked up my 64 plate D4 today. It's from a main dealer and so I'll be going back (after a couple of weeks living with it); with as long a list as I need.
After just an hour with it:
- Cabin creaks from passenger front area
- Both front lights have water / condensation in (was raining when I picked her up so didn't notice)
- Front passenger door seems to hang low; moves upwards on close of course
- Passenger side temp knob turns a little stiffly
Nothing major but not what I'd expect on 40,000 mile 3 year old car! If it didn't ride so well; I'm not sure I could put up with the shoddy build quality. Anyway; I'll be keeping my eye out for any more issues.
Are any of the above issues common?

From the owners manual,
HEADLIGHT CONDENSATION
Misting of headlight lenses can occur under some atmospheric conditions or after washing the vehicle. Performance of the lights is not affected. Any misting clears during normal operation.
Contact a retailer/authorised repairer for advice if any of the following occur regularly:
Condensation is present in the form of large droplets with streaks or drip marks.
Condensation is present in the form of large droplets that cover more than 50% of the lens.
Pools of water are visible inside the lens.L633 Defender

I guess they only completed 161 items on the 165 multi-point inspection.
Good luck dealing with them.

Indeed! They're a good dealer so I'm sure they'll sort the issues.
The headlight misting thing; good to know thank you. I'll keep an eye on them!
