Passenger door - closed but vehicle thinks it is not
Hi there,
Just back from trip to Western Australia, heartened to see so many D4s on the road, quite a few were tricked up with Roo-bars, roof tents, offroad wheels / tyres etc
Anyways, after nearly 3 weeks sitting, my 2014 fire back to life, but two things noticed;
1. Front passenger door is calling up as being opened when it is not, obviously this was not the case when it was last used and locked a few weeks ago, otherwise it would not have locked.
2. LED interior / ambient lighting in the front passenger door bin is flickering, again this is not something that happened before the lay up.
Am I looking at another door lock mechanism or just perhaps a low battery issue after the lay up, when it was turning over to start (no longer than normal), voltages dropped to 8.5, but then rose to 14.5 soon after.

I would think it most likely a battery/power issue, clear and note the codes and put the battery on a trickle charge.
If the battery was below acceptable threshold you will get fault codes, usually lots of them so you're doing well so far.
