I had similar experience around this time last year and found that it seemed to only happen on a slight downhill on way home from the office, so after about 5 or so minutes of driving.
I found that holding the parking brake switch up for just a tiny bit longer stopped it happening. And I'm struggling to recall it happening since, so maybe it is a bedding-in thing ?

It has a full dealer history, but I can't find any mention of the hand brake ever being serviced or replaced. Possibly just starting to wear out
I understand what people are saying about putting the car into N when stopped - but I've owned so many autos that you don't need to do that it's going to be a hard habit to break (badoom tsssh )
It's been hard enough remembering that the car will move forward on up-hills when the brake is released. Luckily I've left a decent gap to the car in front when forgetting 2013 Discovery 4 HSE Lux | 2001 Defender 90 TD5 | 2007 Prodrive RB320
