Just treated myself to a set of Steve's Osram Fog/Driving lights and was wondering if anyone else has fitted a set and can recommend any pick-up points for all the wiring
I've worked out what all the wires connect to but want to try to fit as neatly as possible. assuming the control box is best placed near the battery fuse-box then the remaining wiring run around to connection points, certainly seems to be plenty of length.
By the way, cheers Steve, great service Morris Dancers: Drinkers with A Dance Problem

I have my box tucked in the aux "battery" box. Plenty of length to get it all up into there, and keep it all looking neat My D3 Build Thread

Managed to fit these on my D3 after some fabrication they look great. If you charge your batteries a lot abit of advise would be to connect to a switched live instead of perm feed as the led's will flash on and off whilst charging D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Interesting point about the switch, however the wiring on my kit incorporates an in-line blade fuse in the live feed which I'm guessing will act as one for the few occasions I have to charge. Morris Dancers: Drinkers with A Dance Problem

Not a major prob but if you do charge you may have to remove the fuse. I have just fitted insulated spades next to the battery live that I disconnect when charging (if I remember to). It was Osrams advice to move all perm lives to an ignition switched feed that was capable of carrying the load which I think was 2amps. My only slight problem with the lights would be that if you want to wire them so they stay on at night they are still abit bright in my opinion. They are dimmed to 80% but think they could do with dimming to around 60% as I did with my old led rings.
Still love them though and had good comments D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Mikey you must have the earlier sets I think? On the later sets you can move one of the negative wires onto the positive which enables the led's to illuminate with the headlights on but at 80% power hence allowing them to be used as aux driving lights (I think) Still abit bright though been waiting for Mr.plod to have words with me but its Osrams idea and they say legal? Do look 8) though D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

nice
I changed my heads and full beams to night breakers from Steve like you suggested in the past for a better match but for some reason the headlight night breakers look abit yellow compared to the DRL's? Think I had Phillips D2's in before from HIDs but sure they looked brighter white?D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Hi ROY_H
I fitted mine last year and they still look great, my D4 is an early pre-production model, so the wiring may differ from yours?
The controller was mounted behind the R/H Headlight, the white wire was soldered to the red/orange trace wire at the R/H Headlight plug. There is a switched live at the unused plug (pollution sensor?) in front of the radiator, the blue wire was soldered to this. There is a body earth point behind the R/H headlight so the black and brown wires were connected to this. Finally, the fused red wire was run to the battery. As I already have cornering lights I didn't use the green or grey wires. The looms that are attached to the controller are all plug and play, and are plenty long enough.
