Recommend me an on-line plate making place please, who have you used ?
V5 is with GE finance and ICBA to get an entitled to a plate form, so I’ll make like a chav and get one on line . . . "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

No recommendations-but double check the size of the square rear plate they offer. I have just purchased one online & the new rear plate is much smaller than the original LR plate & doesn't even cover the old sticky pad marks on the boot. Thus i had to go & buy a second set of plates to replace the on-line ones.

Should have said, this one is for a light board ! "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Got mine at Halfords, who did them there and then, after I showed them my driving licence, Reg papers, passport and a utility bill. About £12 for the rear.

Ive used these a few times so we can have our logo on the plates, similar to euro plates etc, they where excellent, quick and easy to use, very helpful on the phone etc. Plates arrived in a couple of days.
No need for the usual reg documents, driving licence, left kidney etc.
I have no business interest in this company.

number plate suppliers are required to prove the purchaser is the owner/registered keeper etc of the vehicle which is why you are asked to produce the v5 and photo card. There are also restrictions on layout, font, symbols etc which can mean a MOT failiure / £1000 fine otherwise the NPR cameras would have problems reading the plates.... 2007 TDV6 XS Cairns Blue

Thanks. I know the rules about plates, and the post isn't about the law . . . .
ICBA to go get an "entitled to plate" form from the lease company, hence the round the rules line. I will be getting legal plates, style, font etc. "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

It's easy to get around that by selling them as 'show plates'. It's then down to the purchaser to ensure that they are fit & legal (although they do have a 'Legal style' show plate..... Bodsys Brake Bible
