2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 Base 7 Seat Manual Stornoway Grey

Multi-height towbar "safety problem"

Dealer has just informed me that i can't have a multi-height towbar fitted until about the end of march as "they have been withdrawn for safety reasons".

Any ideas what this is about?

They've offered me the removable one but i've read that it can be too low for towing a large horsebox.

If there was a fault I'd certainly hope that they'd let everyone who has bought one know, so that they can decide whether or not the towed cargo - for example, say, an irreplaceable one-of-a-kind 1930's racing car - is at risk. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

The swan neck one is the wrong height for the racebox. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Hope you don't lose your valuable car, what is wrong with the MH tow bracket? I see loads of D3's with them. If it was a serious safety issue then I am sure more would have been revealed
