Do not use this company !!
Ok so I bought a d3 hse a month ago from Evans halshaw in Nottingham , the car was based in Stoke so paid to have it moved closer ,was promised it would be there in 3 days , ten days later it arrived after allegedly having new discs and pads and a new turbo fitted , took the car for a spin and it had bad vibrations when braking and air con didn't work , dealer said they would sort both , 3 days later I went to collect to be told air con parts wouldn't be there for another 5 days ! The service dept worked on the car for 5 days trying to sort vibration issue outing another new set of discs and pads on it ( same issue) finally put oem discs and pads on ( issue solved ) went to collect car 5 days after previously being told I could collect ! To find out they had already put finance through on original date for collection! Had the car for a week no issue drove to Newcastle with the family and it went in to limp mode , dash stated refer to owners hand book! Turned car off and then on again , no more issue.
On drive home same thing happened !
Contacted Evans halshaw to book it in , 4 days later they had car for a day ( with no courtesy car) and all they did was clear the code!
Next day same thing happened not 200 metres from home.
Evans admitted defeat and sent the car to land rover Nottingham who did a health check and found £891 worth of suspension issues and a turbo issue ( which is why car went in to limp mode) Evans wanted the car back after land rover had spent 4 days on it so they could repair ! Still no courtesy car! ( with 4 kids and Mrs on school holidays !! ( not fun now) went to Evans to be told you can have a corsa! And we will fix car!! NOT A CHANCE ! I demanded my money back to be told well you can do that through the finance company but we will crack on and get car back to us to fix !
During all this several calls were made to Evans but either no one re contacted me or I just couldn't get hold of any one ! Really poor customer service
Contacted finance company who were great ! Courtesy car which can actually carry all my family in arrived the next day! Finance company stated to block any move by Evans halshaw to get the car and they would arrange an independent mechanic to inspect the car and they would then either repair or refund my money !
My point is do not use Evans halshaw !! However big thanks to douggie and Rebbeca at land rover who havebeen spot on , really helpful and couldn't do enough to sort out my car !!

I think the warning should have gone up when they wanted paying to get it closer to you.

The money paid to move it closer eventually comes of the price of the car if you buy it or they refund it if you don't. Wish I'd have known then what I know now

Whenever buying goods, remember they have to be of "merchantable quality". If major problems show up quickly, you have a right to reject the goods and claim a full refund. However, you must act quickly: once you start allowing repairs, your right to a refund drains away quickly, too. I've successfully rejected a brand new car after 4 days and 400 miles. It had a major fault, so I insisted on a new one I could have demanded my money back Went for a job as a human cannonball. Not the right calibre.

Finance companies can be brilliant if things go properly wrong! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!
(One of only two known to exist in the world!)

Update
Well the update is that the independent mechanic agrees with LR that the turbo needs replacing and that the suspension needs £891 spending on it !!
The finance company were waiting for a reaction from the dealership and then a decision will be made to repair the car or refund money, but they agree if repair work is to be done it should be done at LR
Some progress at least [/list]

Update again
So latest update is that black horse have found in my favour , they had no replies from Evans Halshaw in relation to sorting out the issues !!! Which I think is disgusting !
I have decided to have the car repaired by land rover main dealer ! At a cost to finance company of £3800!!! ( glad I don't have that bill )
Have to say lr dealership have been helpful and patient , and black horse as well
