Ok, coming up to MOT time.
Quick look over
4 new tyres needed - check
Front wheel bearing replacement - check
Rear brake pads worn need replacement- check
Discover seized rear calliper needs replacing - check
200k so may as well get belts done - check
Failure.......on emissions needs injectors
How much!!!
Scared to drive it now in case anything else goes!
Wallet well and truly spanked!

Sad to hear that. Most of the stuff on the list are things that wear out sooner or later.
Not to rub it in but my MY05 D3 V8 passed inspection here on Saturday without any notices.

Try some injector cleaner and a good hard run, get it good and hot then take it back for the emmissions test.
Do you have diagnostics if you do look at your injector balance, you may have only one or two bad injectors

Isn't adblue supposed to reduce emissions? could you put some in before the MoT? I am not sure how it works, but see it is now sold at most petrol stations. Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Adblue gets injected into the exhaust and combines with the exhaust gases to make less polluting chemicals, you cant just add it to the fuel tank.

West 4x4 did the belt and bearing, great service!
I’ve been living on borrowed time with the emissions with injection cleaner/good run down the Motorway sorting it in the past years. But this was all six showing faults
Plus point is I’m going to be keeping it now.
! The passenger lower door trim just fell off!

Did they check your oil pump whilst doing the belt and tensioners Metal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)
LR door puddle projectors (10 mins)
Tinted Bonnet wind deflector (10 mins)
All Intercooler pipes and Tbolts (2hrs)
3 injectors replaced so far (30mins)
Sunroof drain pipes both sides 2.5 hrs)
Rear discs, shoes,pads,callipers,flexi hoses, rigid brake line, n/s upper hub carrier bush and rear n/s upper arm (13hrs over 2 days)
