What size rims are you running?
If you are sourcing wheels and tyres as a combo then you have many choices to go for depending on your intended use.
Having just been through this issue myself but only looking for tyres in 255/55/r19 I had 4 shortlisted as mentioned above. But my use is mostly road based but living very rural I need to be ready for all weathers and mud filled farm tracks etc.
If I was going to a smaller wheel I would have probably gone back to BF Goodrich AT2… but they don’t do them in 19”.
It really depends on intended use and size requirements
Yeah same size as you mentioned. I've got stock set up on mine currently:
255/55R19 111H - Tyre
8Jx19 ET57 - Rims
There are plenty of AT options that will fit that standard size. Goodyear Duratracs are in that size, my friend uses them on his D4 commercial and he doesn't struggle going anywhere.Mike

Following this thread closely, I replaced the Kumho 255/50/20 with GG AT3 265/50/20s all round last week. I'm blown away by the improvement in ride quality. I'd long suspected the tyres that came on the car when I bought it weren't up to much. After putting a couple of hundred miles on the GGs, I'm certain of it.
Next project, fix my flakey alloys and paint the rusty hubs!

Im currently weighing up between the 265/50r20 or the 255/50r20.
Just want to increase the sidewall height to improve the ride on 20’s. Did you say the sidewall on these 265’s is stronger than the 255 versions?
One of the plus sides of the 265/50 is the sidewall is only slightly bigger than standard and I might stand a chance of fitting it as a full size spare withought deflating to make it fit

Sorry... been a bit slow to reply on here and to some PM's as work has been mental prior to holidays.
I've just come back from a 1K mile trip with the D4 fully laden with roof box and large towbar boot bag (both on the weight limit...ahem) and 4up with adults. Can confirm that the AT3 Grabber walls are stiffer (a higher rating than the 255) and a night and day improvement over the OEM Scorpions which were really 'splashy' with the same weight loading.
I also like the fact the 265's offer a bit more protection to the rims as the wife uses it.
Glad to read a couple of you have used Charles. Great guy and really knows his stuff.
Kindest,
Jonathan

Well......I wrapped the other car round a lamp post so I kinda had to go for the cheapest option and wrapped my existing wheels in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs.
Black D3 HSE
Stock...currently.
