My new to me 2007 HSE in Lugano Teal.

Hi all,
I had a Discovery 3 last year for 2 months whilst my BMW 520d touring had destroyed its engine. £4K to fix that. That was Buckingham Blue and a great buy. Sold it quickly as had just needed it to tow our caravan to CarFest etc. Should have kept it and sold the wife’s Grand CMax.
Always hankered after another, so daftly (without telling the wife) when out and bought this off the cuff. Got it from the same dealer, who checked it over for me. Minus the full paperwork - includes replacement stamped service book (called and checked) and it’s all good. Even cruise control works.
QUESTIONS:
Only issue is low coolant warning but topped over the min when cold. Also gear change up is slower than I recall it being. I may do a reset and let it learn again in the first instance before considering a flush. Any opinions on that? (May be because coolant warning light on and some element of intelligent engine protection mode?????)
Didn’t ’feel’ the black on the new grill that was added but can’t find one in Lugano Teal, so elected to de-tango for now. May have the black painted teal or get an original one painted. Did powerfuluk mod but without the tick. I think that works.
Before and after shots. Anyone know this car by the way?
PLANS:
I need a parcel shelf (they never have one) and may tint the windows or just go for the tailored removable blinds I’ve seen on the forum mentioned somewhere. Possibly paint arches and bumpers to match. Any ideas of rough cost from those that have done it? (Mechanics first cosmetics second)
(Pic of the Blue Buck added in further comments for posterity.)
Cheers,
Doug

Most importantly, has it had the oil pump changed? If that goes the BM repair will look cheap.
Welcome to the mad house/spending zone and remember no pics = didn’t happen.

Hi Doug,
Once you’ve uploaded your photos to the gallery you’ll need to click on them to post them in your thread
As for the parcel shelf put an ad in the wanted section and I’m sure someone will have one somewhere and as Del says, make sure the oil pump was changed as yours is the suspect year!
Welcome to the madhouse!I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Do miss the old girl. And for the record, Buck Blue is officially the discerning colour.
But on the flip side, enjoying having a bit of free cash.

Hi,
I'm pretty sure someone was selling a parcel shelf very recently, it was listed with lots of other items though, garage clear out I think.

It’s a great colour. I was hoping for another Buckingham Blue one but love this colour.

Grill painted. Not a professional level but a decent job. Pleased I managed that myself. 1 small can of paint not enough really as could have done with a little more.2007 Discovery 3 HSE Lugano Teal
