MP3 Cd's
Can anyone point me to a good website that can describe the MP3 cd system? My son gave me a cd to play today, and I was mildly suprised to see the display on the head unit come up with lots more info than normal.
It had "DATA" in the top middle, TRACK x of 79 (79 tracks - wow) and another item in the bottom left 1/1 (I can't remember the descriptor for that label FP I think)
So with 6 mp3 cd's in the dash, thats a lot of music right? but I will need a good memory to remember the contents of each disk!
I have to admit to being a musical numpty I usually only listen to the radio, and the same cd's have been in since I got it!. The kids and wife are trying to persuade me to utilise the wonderful Logic 7 system.

MP3 on the disco is a bit of a pain as you can't easily navigate and there is no track name like most £50 cd players - ask Grommet all about it. I tend to put albums from the same artist on one disc as you tend to know what order they play (if you collection is as small as mine) But if you are jumbling albums about it isn't great DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

If you have a single CD head unit (no "in-dash 6 CD changer"), it does not support MP3.

Other thing is the unit only likes 'true' .Mp3 files, not .wma's and the like.

So true. I've been beaten into submission. I now complain about the lack of relative AUX volume control & that the Navigation voice can't be set to a specific volume to prevent my ears exploding when compensating for the AUX input. 8)

MP3s WMA
Sorry to disagree but mine seems to read WMA'a, and MP3s, shame about not reading the MP3 tag, bit of a silly thing not to include, I think the 1/1 is the folders on the CD, but I have not confirmed this yet.
