Thelo, you still in the FFRR & is it a nice shiny new type?
Having thought about it and if it was me it's accept the new box & push them hard for some free servicing (in a "what's it worth for me not to reject the car" gambit). Then I'd put it out of my mind as it'll just be a constant worry otherwise. They put things together in the factory in 90 second slots so at least the dealer will take their time, dealers regularly replace engines. Things like gearboxes & transfer boxes are regularly taken out to fix things without any problems, at least your bolts won't be rusted in. Just get in the car & take a big intake of that nice new car smell. If you don't like that smell you can borrow my old D3 and i'll not the smell for you.

Seem to remember that one of the NASA astronauts said he was thinking exactly the same thoughts about rockets when he was sat on top of the Saturn 5 during take off!!

All it is, is nuts and bolts. Anything that comes out, goes back in, same as it did from the factory.

Sorry, not quite true!
It is a well known fact that there are always extra parts put in from new as those of us that regularly strip machinery down know only too well!
How else do you explain the bit left over?

Got to say it's been a little trying and driving a FFRR for over 2 weeks has been hard
I have to say though that within 3 miles of leaving the dealer I felt at home with my Disco
Thanks to all that have expressed their views and here's to a few years of trouble free driving and off roading D4 HSE Lux - Santorini, Privacy, RLD Protector

Just wondering how it's been in the last 12 days. If the love is there along with the nice new car smell. Was in a new RRS recently in a dealer and had to hold my breath so as not to become financially intoxicated. Not that I can afford £77k.
