Mantec Sump Guard - Any Suggestions

I've just fitted a new Mantec sump guard to my D4. Genuine LR Part No:VPLAP0024.

No matter how I try, I cannot get the leading edge gap to close to less than 30mm under the bumper. On my D3 the plate fitted almost flush up under the bumper. I've tried three times to refit making sure that I'm using the right holes (as if!), that there is no obvious obstruction. It seems that the plate isn't formed correctly but that's not likely is it?

Any advice appreciated. I've written to Mantec but I guess no reply will come until mid-week..

Wow Bill, in that side angle pic it looks way out.
You've obviously checked there's nothing fouling at the front end as you tighten the bolts up - ?
Whether it's Mantec or LR, you need to pursue wherever you bought it from.

Ron

The bolts at the front are fully home - there's no obstruction. I took it off twice to check and check again. It looks like Uncle Ray's right, it's not the right bend angle.

Back to the supplier I guess.
