Great photos Dave, I think you scored with the weather also The view from the top of Fremington Edge is breathtaking on a clear day
If you had looked closely at the big rock on the bottom left of this photo it probably still has a chunk of alloy wheel on it from when I came down that lane last week Cheers Ian

See the white stuff to the left?
We were the first lot through it in weeks.
Got 2 tractors through it ( defender 90s) and the fire engine got a bit into it and then bottomed out and had to be towed out.
Personally I don't think he gave it enough power as I didn't hear the engine roar like the tdi lot did to get through... In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

Big time
There was about a foot of snow, which was crusty on top and soft underneath.....below that (as you can see from my wheels) was soft waterlogged mud...not a recipe for progress....once the tyre treads filled with mud,and I'd grounded out,it was game over
I doubted at the outset I would get through, but there were plenty of helpers with recovery gear, and a tractor behind me on solid ground....worth a go I thought...."Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
