After a great and sunny day at LR Eastnor Castle yesterday doing a bit of off road training got absolutely covered in mud and totally soaked, forgot the 110's (proper Landy) windows were down when I went wading in a very very deep sump and the water came over the bonnet into the cab, silly me and boy did it stink
I was later presented with a new video by LR Experience GM. Sadly I have the only one at the moment (sorry guys) to view and report back on, but it is quite good. It is ideal for anyone who wants to know what the vehicles capabilities are and how to do it. Covers all terrain, from mud to snow and sand to rocks.
It tells a lot about all the vehicles and how to operate them in all terrains and climates. If any of you want one, I think they will be around £20, let me know and I will see what I can do.
At the same time I genned up on the D3 and its electronics, very interesting. I am now much better versed in its idiosyncrasies, especially the lack of power if booted from standstill. It is all linked in with the traction control and ecu etc. Harsh bootfuls of power will cause the ecu to say whow, must not stall, this may be some incline etc and tell the car to gently move forward under control, but slowly intially, until traction control comes in and says, no probs, get going.
Did you also know that the airbags have sensors that if you are off roading, know and will not activate if you hit a rock or similar, very clever. Don't ask me how they do it, but it is brilliant, but they will go off in Tescos car park over 15.6mph as normal.
I found that out when I was winching myself out of a hole and hit a big Herefordshire bolder, another silly me Bent the wing a bit and tore off the plastic wheel arch extender, totally stuffed up the winch, wheel arches and tow attachment, but other than that it all went well .

Isn't that a bit 'last century'?
If I can get hold of a copy (anyone?) i'll transfer it to DVD - any takers?
Cheers,

Sorry, it is a DVD and yes I will be able to obtain them soon, but 10forcash, they are not for copying, we would like to keep LR friends and avoid litigation on the site please.
I have noticed a couple of minor errors which will probably set back their launch a while. The main error is that at the bottom right of the screen it shows the ratio and gear you should be in for the terrain or option, but it is for auto only, it needs to add the manual version as well.
Keep you posted.

10forcash, no probs, but it can be delicate these days if we are not keeping to protocols. Don't worry about the dog, I'll look after him/her when your in court.

BN,
Fanx, think you'd have problems with the dog though, just over 5 months old and he's 30Kg+ - food bills more than for the Mrs, kids & I
Cheers,
10forcash
p.s. is this another thread hijacked by dogs?
