tdv6 hse Stornoway grey with front park assist - going to really need this

I didn't get my call today - this is worse than the 40weeks for a baby especially as the days go by more things are getting broken on the old car. I'm probably going to need to drive it off a cliff soon

Now that i've read some of these posts I'm wishing I got the active rear diff - not that I know what I could use it for or if I would use it - can someone fill me in

To those who went to the 4wd show today at rosehill - nice touch parking your disco along the james ruse drive fence for me to drool as I drove past

Phoned dealer today to enquiry about car and was told that it was expected at the dealership ...tomorrow 20/4/07)! He said he was waiting until the car arrived there before he called me.
Should take them 2 days to prepare it and I will (hopefully) pick it up on Thursday after Anzac day Thumbs Up .

Dealer phoned to say it is there safe and sound Very Happy
Will prepare it on Monday and Tuesday and I will collect it Thursday Thumbs Up
Anyone know what they actually do to 'prepare the car' (clean it, test drive, load software (not windows I hope!))?
 regards

Not fair. Mine is still on the boat at the dock - as of thursday lunchtime.

They must really hate me or know how desperate I am to get rid of my old car

"When the boat comes in," great show by the way. I enjoyed James Bolan.
There is a bun rush to bags the car transporters to get the cars out of the compund.
My car lobbed to the dealer a couple of days ago. I could have picked it last Friday but for the extras being fitted. A Bar, lamp guards, snorkel, side moulds, rear ladder, steering wheel control mudule, Aux update, and rear DVD player.
My cargo barrier is here, Lightforce Strikers and Ubody armour on way (thanks Simon Arch), sills here (thanks Tasmod) are at home waiting patiently. With my Micky Thompsons on order. My white TDV6 will cut mean figure. Now if I can only do something to improve my looks.

I figure, get in get the lot then its done. It is easier to seek forgiveness than permission. One can then say, Thats how it came..... Rolling Eyes

Not yet. Hasn't even arrived at the dealer. I've been really depressed since I read about the newest d3 in mudgee.

On good thing though - I really didn't want to get my new toy wet in last weeks rain

Maybe it will arrive by mothers day.

I ordered early dec for a jan 07 build with delivery late march but I was told land rover uk put orders back month so I'm expecting a feb 07 build. It should take about 4 - 6 weeks for the boat to get here if it doesn't go via the us.

They way things are looking the vic d3 orders will be delivered before mine. I must have bought from the same dealer as murat (can't remember the username). Next time i'll have to order from mudgee

I picked up my car last Friday afternoon.

Quite strangely I have driven D3's off road my times but not on road !
As I drove home I found it hard to belive just how quiet it is on the black top. The LR snorkel has very little wind noise even at Freeway speeds.
It embarrases many sedans for isolating road noise
The deseil is very tight and almost groans on take off, but quicky settles.
A very impressive truck even my wife said when comming back from a family vist to Campbelltown (200km round trip). Gee its comfortable. So I guess I can keep it! Very Happy

by the way, the build date was Feb 07

I am interested if you think the 07 TDV6 engine is loud, ie tappet noise.
I mostly don't notice it, but on some days it really makes me Pi**ed off.
Trust me, what could go wrong?

Hi Razzle,
Yes it does have a typical diesel tappet sound to it especially when it is cold or under load. BUT nothing that doesnt settle down. It doesnt seem to have as loud a sound as my D2 TD5 did when I hear it reflected back when using drive thrus.
Where in Tassie are you? I lived in Hobart for 20 years and am going there for 10 days from 26 June.
 regards

Guys, I drive an early Nov 04 D3 day to day, and she is quiet and smooth, but a little hesitant at times. This week, she went into the dealer for some repairs, and they lent me a brand spanking new 07 TDV6GS.

The first thing I noticed was that the engine was louder and definitly more clattery than mine. However, it was much more responsive and smoother in its power delivery.
