Hello everyone. Been lurking in the background whilst waiting for my car but now - it's here Picked it up on Saturday (after the mysterious LR delay!).
Got myself an '07 HSE in stornaway with Alpaca interior. Don't like privacy glass (we call it 'ugly kid' glass!).
Fitted towing electrics and side steps yesterday. Electrics were fine, it a little tricky routing the cables, and the side steps were worrying having to cut the cill mouldings but, hey, all ok!
First impressions are ..... well, you know. The missus has taken it today to go to work in so I have the use of a Skoda Fabia .... Great!
Anyway, just thought I'd say Hi.

Greetings, Wonky, or as I saw my nephew type into World of Warcraft yesterday as a welcome, "Gz".
Here's hoping you enjoy your car as much as the rest of us on the site. Don't forget to post a picture or two and remember that with side steps, set ride height to 'off-road' should you park in any supermarket car park to help protect against 'door dings'. hi martin
i think I may have seen you tinkering with the new toy yesterday - couldn't stop - needed some beans & bread from the shop in kingsride for the kids' lunch (rattled past in an unwashed green D2)!
but now I know u're there - will be sure to stop by next time I pass and I see you out - what to check out how it looks esp. given we have the same colour/trim choices - give or take the HSE vs. SE and the privacy glass (we pick up a lot of other friends' kids )
still a while to wait for ours... but that's another weekend closer!!
cheers, tim 2007 TDV6SE Auto Stornoway Grey - now sold...

Oh no - been found, that means I'll have to drink beer with someone .... again (not if I'm driving though!)
Thanks all for your good wishes and, yes, I DO have a big smile (bit lower today though 'cos Missus still has the car at work!!!).

Ah, that's the thing you see. Us brits want all the available light to come in, otherwise it's too dark on a dull day, and god knows we get far too many of them. 8)

Hey Wonky, I reckon we may have similar serial numbers as I have a HSE Stornoway with Alpaca, which left the factory on the 11th Dec and that would fit with your 18/12 delivery. I also had an unexplained delay.
I am going to fit my Steps and Tow bar over the coming weeks so as you're local (16miles) I might ask to pop round and talk it through. Stornoway HSE MY07 with Body Colour side mouldings.
