Land Rover Warranty in ROI?? |
|
Hi All,
my 3 year warranty is due to expire in a few months and I'm wondering
1. Is it a good idea to get an extended Warranty? and
2. Are there any Companies here in Ireland that offer a LR Warranty or do I have to go to the Dealer (and probably pay through the nose for it!) or could I even contact a UK company, and would I still be covered over here?
Any info and/or advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave.

The silence is deafening eh?
Would be interested to find the answer myself since mine went out of warranty at the end of last month... 2001 D2 GS (I must be mad!)
2005 D3 S 10-12 (gone and missed)

That's one way of putting it alright would have thought a few members had a few ideas about this all the same....
I've asked the local dealer to find out about it, so whenever he gets back to me I'll post up again. He did say that LR usually offer a few months 'goodwill' if the motor falls within cetain parameters (< x mileage, < y year etc) but I wouldn't be banking on it

well lads, hadn't heard of anyone offering an extended warranty over here. No harm asking our local stealers anyway I suppose
interesting to know what the options are if any. A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

Nope I've not heard of any option for extended warranty here either !
Don't even know if you can get a "third party" warranty, such as Tesco warranty in the UK. It's just something I've never looked into. When the 3 years LR warranty is up, I've always just left it at that & taken the cost of repairs on the chin...... or changed vehicle

Hi Lads,
did a bit of surfin' and made a few calls this morning about said Warranty
1st one to my own Insurance Company (Aviva) and no dice (but was expecting that)
2nd one to AA Ireland (as they offer something in the UK) but still no joy
3rd one to the Head Honcho - Land Rover UK, and after being put on hold multiple times and explaining myself 'til it made no sence anymore - I got..... "We don't offer the Extended Warranty Service in Southern Ireland"
4th & final call will be to to the stealers to see what they've found out for me......
TBC......

Appreciate all the effort daveyd, but as zebadee said, suspect it'll all be in vain. 2001 D2 GS (I must be mad!)
2005 D3 S 10-12 (gone and missed)
