The LR assistance guys are very good, you just have to make sure that you get one not a subcontractor. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

I presume the genuine LRA guys are the ones driving around in silver D3's with Land Rover Assistance on the side and the red stripes on the back? I always give them a wave, and they always wave back.

Yup, around here we have Westbourne motors as stand in, they aren't up to D3s yet. I've had the same LRA guy twice (my only calls) and he is a really good chap, they do Jags, Astons and Ford GTs as well. Only problem with LRA is if the car is driveable they won't come out. I have a susepension fault that won't clear, it started Saturday afternoon whilst off road I have to wait to go to the dealers to get them to look at it, I hope they are able to on Monday. I had a problem with the suspension not rising. The old Viagra tablet in the petrol didn't work so I called Land Rover Assist. Although they were very helpful I did have a couple gripes.
First they would only recover the vehicle from my home address to the nearest dealer and not Ripon Land Rover from whom I bought the vehicle and with whom I am very impressed. This was resolved by a phone call to Ripon Land Rover.
Secondly the hire company LRA deal with could have had a hire vehicle at my door within the hour and an automatic the next day but for one thing. They wanted me to give my credit card details allowing them to withdraw an agreed £40 in the event of the hire vehicle being returned without fuel or in case of speeding or parking fines.
I offered to give them a cash deposit of £40 but refused to give my credit card details arguing that I want to have the opportunity of questioning any fines imposed against me therefore all they needed was reimbursment for fuel. They would not let me have a hire car as Company Policy dictates they require credit car details.
Although Land Rover Assist offered my £40 a day for a hire vehicle, I got the motor bike out.
