I've noticed the light flare at night on the rear view cam. It's coming from the lamp which illuminates the rear number plate which is right next to the camera. It's quite bad on mine, significant part of the left side of the screen is affected.

The front bumper cameras are mounted on a recess to either side of the number plate which means that by design they could not possibly look to the sides of the vehicle as suggested by the term Junction View. I reckon LR may fall foul of the trade descriptions act here ....2016 D4 Landmark SDV6 (Euro6), Zanzibar (late run D4)

Bad news on the cruise and cameras. Cameras are on back order so the faulty one with the green glow hasnt been replaced. They tried a software fix on the cruise and it failed. Apparently LR UK know about it and are working on a fix but no date as to when it will be available.
Pants!

The Guinea Pig is not a pig and it does not orignate from Guinea.

If the junction view does not provide what it was sold to do, just ask LR to fix it under the warranty (perhaps they can supply a new bumper with the cameras properly located?) and if they don't manage to fix it in a reasonable time, ask them for the cost of the cameras to be refunded as they are in breach of the warranty by not fixing them

Then sue them and consult your solicitor, and reject the vehicle and put up a website saying how you hate everything Land Rover...........or maybe not..... 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

Doubt if it justifies a rejection , but mwestcrew omitted the other option you have ... of just sitting there and accepting that you've paid your hard earned cash over for an optional extra that does not do what it is represented to do

In truth, there is a whole load of stuff on this car that is not really essential - it is an HSE after all.
The most useful new thing I have found so far is the down light in the door mirror for avoiding ankle deep puddles when approaching the car in the dark in this seasonably wet weather. 8)2016 D4 Landmark SDV6 (Euro6), Zanzibar (late run D4)

Not on my Oct build. It doesn't totally cut fuel (as shown by the instantaneous fuel consumption) when overspeed downhill so have to cancel and sometimes brake then resume when slow enough.
CC also wont maintain freeway speeds (eg 110kph) going up hills, needing to increase speed by 1-2 notches, then backing it off at the top.

Hmmm, this is what my D3 has always done - i.e. pick up speed when going down hill in cruise control. I thought this was due to a lack of a speed limiter.
Is the cruise control actually supposed to properly maintain speed even on some steeper down hills (on road, of course )? Is there a grade of steepness when it stops working?
Cutting fuel obviously wouldn't be enough, as the car will based on its own weight pick up speed - only switching gears down would solve this, or even applying the brakes, as in my friend's Peugeot.
Is that what's supposed to happen?

I don't believe that the D3 or D4 have cruise with brake assist. The issue with the D4 cruise is it doesn't work going up steep hills - the car basically loses power and the speed drops.
I think that this must be a vehicle to vehicle issue. Came back from Nth Yorks to Hampshire mainly on cruise. D4 did not slow on hills and only exceeded set speed by 1 mph on coming down hill. cruise was set at 75 MPH.
No surging problems.

It's only a certain gradient of hill. If you were travelling at 75 then you were on dual carriageways or motorways so the hills wouldn't have been steep enough. My car works fine on motorways up and down hills, but get it on a fairly steep road and it'll drop from 40 to 25 in seconds with cruise on. Never a problem with any car before it including the d3
