Yes, it would be wrong to stereotype, otherwise we would probably all be classed as school run mums in our SUVs Wink

It's not even clear its land rover owners, just 4x4 with aggressive tyres and heavy right feet

It's the usual story with these things, a few mess it up for everyone.

The problem is these kind of arguments can be used against so many things in our lives.

As you say it would be very easy to argue that a couple with no kids who live in town and never go anywhere rural or tow anything don't need to be driving round clogging up the roads in a D3/D4/FFRR and the reality is they are affecting far more people than some idiots trashing a green lane.

People dumping litter/fly tipping again cause more problems

The big issue is many of the people who campaign about the green lanes are people who would happily see big 4x4 irradicated from our roads.

I've not done a huge amount of green laning but did a bit in my RRC when I first had it, even then while creeping in low range on dry lanes and being polite I encountered people who clearly thought I shouldn't be there.

again it's the same people who also think mountain bikes shouldn't be allowed into the country side.

I had a discussion with a plank who was visiting my area, I was out on my mountain bike on a sunday morning on my own, he was leading a group of 50 walkers, now tell me who's doing the damage, me or them Whistle
