Trans UK trail
Does anyone know of a trans UK trail for 4x4s?
I saw a video on YouTube of a trans America trail that was driven by some D4s and I was wondering if there was a similar UK one... South coast UK to north coast of Scotland?
If not would anyone be interested in jointly researching/making one... And then driving it - perhaps do it for charity?
Not that I am into new year resolutions etc, but fancy a challenge for next year and can't afford to go abroad..
Kind regards
Mike

An interesting concept, however as there are no green lanes with public access in Scotland, it might have to finish at the border.

Thanks, I had forgotten that I had heard something like that in Scotland.
Still it could be a trans England and Wales trail...?
Obviously there will need to be some sections on road, but I reckon it could be possible with a lot of planing to come up with a route that as far as possible is off the 'beaten track'...

All on un-paved roads?
There are plenty of forest roads and estate tracks in Scotland, but most wouldn't be much help in making a route north. Most are dead ends or more east-west rather than north south. And further north the paved roads are the only roads.

It would be impossible to do it all on unpaved roads, but there could be a good few off road segments....
