iPhone 5s bluetooth connectivity |
|
I don't know whether it's the car, the phone, or probably me! I have recently got an iPhone 5s, but am unable to connect it to the car via bluetooth. The car's a MY2010 D4 HSE. On the bluetooth "page" on the phone, the search icon just goes round, and round, and round........ and doesn't find the car. I've tried it several times with either just the ignition on or with the engine running, but the phone will not discover the car. It worked fine with the previous iPhone 4 that I had.
Any help would be appreciated please.

In the words of Victor Meldew, "I don't believe it!"
After spending ages and getting no-where, I was just about to swap back to my iPhone 4. I started the car and was in the process of putting it into the garage when the phone and car paired! (and then worked!!).
I'm sure these damned LR's have minds of their own.

I'm perhaps having the same problem, I've just bought robbo770's d3 with the d4 system in it and I cannot get my Iphone 4s to connect via blue tooth. The weird thing is, the phone wouldn't find it, then randomly it did. Not sure what i did different, but it worked for about a minute then lost connection and sine then, about a week, the phone hasn't found 'land rover' again. My wife's iPhone won't find it either?? Any help would be much appreciated!

On my 2015 Disco, I cannot have bluetooth phone and iPod on together.
If I disconnect the iPod, the phone is paired easily.

On Freelanders and D3s I've always got the car to find the phone not the other way round, sometimes takes a few attempts but gets there in the end.
Never tried with a D4 though. Displaced Yorkshireman.

I have a work BB and a personal 5S
The car will pair to the last phone used, so I simply knock bluetooth of the one I dont want to use and it will fire up with the other - but sometimes not at all unless I turn ignition off and on again - which can sometimes be a pain when driving - my old Nokia used to do this before I bought a 5S, so dont think its a Iphone issue
Will sometimes sulk and not come on at all if the last used phone is not in the car and the one I want to use is - but only when outside temp is cold - until I turn ignition off and on again - weird
But have to admit, all above is a rarity, when it works, it works very well - great sound quality
