England 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

Me confused.... Shocked According to 2 diferent dealers, the blue tooth software in my other halfs 06 RRS is the latest for the hardware that is installed in the car. They have both said LR didnt do any later releases and that I would have to upgrade the hardware if it was to be compatible with her iPhone 3GS.

Where, do I find the hardware and software version installed ? and what is the latest ?

Cheers guys

You probly can't see the hardware version without a diagnostic system like faultmate or similar. Give wiggs a PM - he should be able to assist

When they plug in there machine ..it does tell them that there is no later software for the hardware installed . They then cannot go any further with programming as there diagnostics machine thinks there is no newer software .

With the faultmate you can force it to take different software ( the latest from a different hardware number ) . I have done this successfully on half a dozen D3's and cured the pairing issue .

Lr will try and sell you a later module with newer software on ..you dont need it ..you just need someone with a faultmate and can do RRS 's

Hi again Wiggs,

Thanks for the response on the other subject of the offroad screen upgrades, I also have the double pin entry pairing code issue with the iphone. I can see im going to have to meet up with you at some point. (Maybe on my next road trip).
Can you PM me your email address? As I also have the less than 5 issue.

Cheers,
Neil.
