Has anyone removed the interior trim from around the gear-selector knob?
I assume the 'bright silver' trim around the knob itself needs to be pried upward, which will then allow you to remove the larger dark grey plastic trim?
There are a couple of deep scratches on the darker grey trim and I'd like to replace this piece. Before I make a mess of it, I hoped someone had given it a go and saved me the aggravation of treading new ground and leaving a trail of DIY disaster in my wake.
Not my photo but this is the piece I mean:-

Think it is screwed in from under neath. Remove the cup holder and the trim panel underneath, then undo the two screws and from there the panel lifts out as a whole from memory, you can then get to the trim underneath MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Thanks Russell - as it has to go back into the dealer for a few issues, I'll let them deal with it.
