Who do you insure with?

Well, my insurance renewal has arrived from the NFU and has increased from £650 (Full comp, full business use, three named drivers, windscreen cover, protected no claims, legal protection and free hire car etc etc) to £1200... yep you read tyhat right... £1200 Shocked

I have spoken to the local office who i have a good relationship with and they have tried to sort it out but say they can't reduce it so I have told them I am offski.

So, who do you insure with? Who is the best value (not the same as cheapest!) in your opinion?

I need all the options listed above and so far have got it down to around £450 but think it should be better!

After all I am a 40 year old driver, no accidents or claims in the last 5 years, live in the rural and always drive VERY carefully... honest Whistle

I've just had a similar hike with NFU, from £375 last year to £883 this. Shocked

Best quote for like-for-like cover I got was with Saga - since I am suitably qualified to insure with them Rolling Eyes
Now covered for £388 Thumbs Up

How you lot are getting 350 ish from priviledge - god only knows!

Tesco is the best at the moment out of those suggested but still 575 - think I might need to double check the small print on the 450 quote I had from Admiral

I bank with Santander, and they offered me 10% off my current insurer. I feel that switching could incur costs in the long run, been with Privilage a while, and Direct Line before who own Privilage.

Happy with my Premium that includes SWMBO with registered Medical reasons, business Mileage, but no more than 8k a year.

Around £500 with Adrian Flux as I want / need the off road cover. Clive - is it wise to change? At least NFU paid out when you went swimming! Maybe you're going to avoid swimming in future? Whistle
