Iid tool help

Hi all, have just bought a gap diagnostic tool, and have paid for the transfer of ownership but I can’t get the app to connect to to tool. The app says tool found then says it’s not responding.
Any help much appreciated Lee.

Thanks just tried that still the same, it works plugged into the car but on the other owners name.
Does it need to be plugged into a laptop? Or just powered from a usb socket?

Have you followed the Transfer of Owner instructions download manual to the letter?

Thanks have checked it all, the only thing I cannot do is get it to work on the laptop because it’s just gone to Censored and won’t connect to the internet, maybe that’s my problem. Need to get a decent laptop,
It does say that you can plug it in to a usb power source tho but it won’t work. As I say on the car it works but only to read and clear faults. Hope that makes sense.
