I’ve owned this for a year standard now time to modify

Hi everyone
So I have owned this for a year now and it’s still going strong (ish) but I’ve decided to take the plunge and modify it slightly. So my plans are to lift it a bit fit bigger wheels and tyres (I have brought a set of 18s) just need to get tyres. I also need to sort the plastic guard out underneath that covers the gear box as it’s broken and Rattles like hell... I was thinking of trying to make a metal on has anyone on here done that before?
But on the lift side and tyres I really carnt make my mind up on how much I want to lift bye so any sujestions would be apriciated from people that have done this before.

Can’t help with the lift question, but my recommendation for a first mod is to fit a spare wheel protector. Dull until someone nicks your spare.

If your skills are up to it. Mine aren't, so I bought one from Ray (forum member).

I've no link with him, just a satisfied customer Smile

Yep, Uncle Ray (RLD) makes a very good spare wheel protector and an absolute must for preventing the little Censored from stealing your spare wheel.

They also come up for sale in the "for Sale" section - worth checking there

I know feel a bit daft now knowing my luck I will get a puncture tomorrow 🙄 but I will be sorting that one..with regards to a spare wheel does the size matter as I’m going bigger on the tyre size would a standard spare be ok or would it damage the dif?

So.. bit of a up date I’ve got my new wheels and tyres on made some lift rods up and lifted it and fitted 30mm teriferma wheel spacers. Went on got four wheel alignment yesterday as obviously was wheyy out. But the couldn’t adjusted one of the rear camber bolts as it was seized solid. The other 3 all adjusted fine but will this be a issue? It is 1 degree out aparently and they said it will be fine so just wondering if any on here knows about wheel alignment and confirm if it will be ok to leave it?
Jobs today if this weather drys out abit is to trim the inner arches as I get a bit of scrubbing 🙄

Can almost guarantee one of the adjusters would be seized. Worthwhile to get it changed though and fully aligned Thumbs Up

Yeah the bolt that goes in the top of the hub (I’m presuming that’s the adjuster) is very well stuck he did show me and I can confirm with all his weight on it it wouldn’t budge.
