I recently read this post in a thread
Quote:"Member RLD (uncle Ray) on here makes Rock sliders and sump plates. Theirs another company were ful underbody kit can be had but becuse of forum policy i'm not allowed to mention them"
Why are we not able to talk about certain companies, i understand that only site sponsors can advertise. But in the thread someone wanted advise on kitting out his car for overlanding, and it makes the advise very fake and biased if we can't openly compare them.
this is my first forum i have been part of, so still trying to understand the rules, so an explanation on this would be appreciated.

As far as I know there is only one company that we are not allowed to mention.
I'm very sorry but I'm not allowed to tell you who it is!

fmb123, whenever venturing into areas new to you, there is always going to be a degree of politics and history you may well not appreciate or understand.
Rightly or wrongly the Boss is the Boss and no matter what, it is up to him to make the calls on what he allows or does not. And as owner of my own forum i know that this is never ever an easy or simple task. And mine is a closed Forum.
But ultimately you have to respect the result.
This forum is now more trouble free, respected, helpful and Disco 3 community oriented than ever.
And i for one salute the Boss and the moderators for their hard work in making it such a nice place to be.
