Hand brake light staying on!

Just gone back to my car in dark car park after been in shop 5 mins and i could see my hand brake light still on, drove home with it off, parked up and locked car and it still stayed on for a long time.
is this normal? Confused

Depends how long "long" is. It goes off when the car goes to sleep. I reckon about three minutes for mine today. Once you take the key out both the clock radio display and hand brake light stay on. They extinguish after about three mins - on mine the clock goes off a little before the HB light.
