Brilliant. Off-road better than ATRs, on-road better than GG AT3s. Actually scrub that. They are awful, and if you’ve just bought a set you’d be much better swapping them for some part-worn GG’s!

Luxembourg

I have them on my D5.

They seem good tyres, but just make sure (if you ever plan on coming to the continent) that you get the newer version that has the snowflake symbol. Mine came with the D5 and were made in 2017. They only have the m+s Mark, and that is no longer sufficient in Germany (and soon in Luxembourg).

Sorry to interrupt, getting slightly “off topic” although a good advice in itself ofcourse... that is not completely true.... above 7 degrees Celsius, you can use them without the specific snowflake symbol.

And... only in case of an accident you will have a possible problem, it is not really forbidden, but you are liable for a possible accident you can get involved in..

I am myself also looking for some good winter specific tyres... on my D3 so very interested in more experiences with these tyres..
 Best regards
Harold

Actually, you are also not quite right...

Winter tires are not required unless there are "wintery conditions" but if you are checked by the police (even if you have not had an accident or blocked the road), you can now be fined.

The law was changed last year.

What I am not sure of is for tires manufactured Before the law changed. I don't know if the m+s symbol is sufficient.

please read carefully my text..... quote" above 7 degrees" NOT required...

so beneath 7 degrees celcius means... "winter condition" isn't it?

we we are going off-topic Confused
 Best regards

Before you commit, I'd have it in writing from your insurance company that they're happy with you running Q rated tyres !!!!!

Goodyear Wrangler tyres

2010 GS car came with odds and sods on each wheel. Wanted Goodrich but not available in 19 inch. Best deal I could find was at kwik fit (they are not quick). Four duratracs for under £500, surprisingly quiet. Bought last month (October 2019). Also changed wheel nuts.

From the Goodyear website.

https://www.goodyear.eu/en_gb/consumer/tir...DTRAC.html

They are complete with the snowflake symbol. Not sure about the Q speed rating, but they're ok for the load of the vehicle and as 99MPH is illegal in the UK, I'm not too worried.
