General Grabber AT2
I cannot believe how well these are wearing compared to the Scorpion Zeros that the vehicle came with when new. They were shot out in less that 15000miles, This set of AT's has done 25000 already and still have plenty of life in them. Great in the snow as well.

AT's seem to wear considerable better than Pirelli Zero's (which are known to have a short life)
I know D2's are better on tyres than a D3 (weight difference etc) but on my last D2 I had BF Goodrich AT2's (245/70/16's) and they managed a whoping 108k miles, and still had plenty of life in them
So . . . if your D3 wheels can take them - go for it
(the noise increase is negligable, and they are superb off road in all but the deepest gooey mud/bog)Never get mad - get even !!
06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k
previous vehicles:
04 D2 TD5 - (clocked 189k from new)
52 X-Trail 2.2 SVE
various euro boxes !

Skye is a great pleace to live. We have had a lot of snow this year and I travel over to the east coast and down to Edinburgh a lot. Only trouble is it is a long way from anywhere. Does have it's advantages at times though!!

Not really - in fairness - a LOT of motorway, so mostly in a straight line !!!
But . . . I have never been one for hard driving - uses too much fuel, when I avarage 50k a year, a diference of +2 to 3 mpg = lots of £'sNever get mad - get even !!

Without a doubt, as I have said befor, one of the best all round tyres available on the market today, IMHO the best. Just wish we could get more, we are holding up at present but need more stock.
General AT2's are a better wet weather tyre than BFGoodrich AT KO, maybe won't last as long though, and as some will say the sidewalls on BFG are a little better, we have used both and even the wife prefers the AT2 to the BFG.
Still OK on 17", but 18" is looking sad.
One set of 18" wheels still available, if anyone is looking for a spare set.
Andy.

Black tyre love ...
I love mine ...!
I also found virtually no wear (with them in the boot ..!)
I'm running a 34/36 psi combination, front and rear and find they turn tighter than the 255's I used before (even though they are 265's) and a generally 'softer' ride, which I prefer ... although I was using a 50 profile previously, so they were extra hard ... I'm gonna try adding a couple of psi just to see though ...
If I could go back in time, I'd buy them again (I'd do alot of things again if I could time travel actually, but thats not the point!)
Would recommend Paramedic, Father, Dog lover and Husband ... in no particular order!

Nice!
Mine have done a couple of hundred miles - only fitted last week - just returned from York to the Midlands, got 33.3mpg, according to the trip unit ... Virtually all Motorway (if you include the A1M) miles ...Paramedic, Father, Dog lover and Husband ... in no particular order!

Standard pressure is OK, but some run +4 psi, what you feel happy with at the end of the day.
What a great choice you have made.

Towing pressures ...
I've increased my AT2 pressures all round, to +4psi from std .... but what about towing???
My manual says I should incresase to the "3 fat ladies with loads of luggage in the boot" setting in the rear ...
... would you say I should add 4psi on top of that? ... that would make them F38 R40 normally and F38 R44 when towing a caravan .... is that not too hard???
