Just checked the ecu info and 9 updates available which I understand will cost me £225 if I wanted the latest files ?
Laughing We would not charge that much that's for sure.

Updating ECUs should only be done when needed so unless you have a problem to fix, leave them alone.

anglefire: Make sure you update the tool to build 2419, not 2378 like you just did Whistle

Windows 10: The problem is not Windows 10 itself but the various hardware difference Bluetooth wise. It doesn't make much sense to venture in this direction.

Edit: 2419 and not 2420

I assumed I had the latest - but then if you say I haven't, I haven't.

I'll do so as soon as I've had my sticky toffee pudding Mr. Green

I really like the new way of adding items to a favourites list, really easy to set up.

Quick question for anyone in the know, what is "motor temp", ie which motor, the one in the compressor? If that's the case what is "compressor temp" measuring?

Is there anywhere to see what the default values of all the different sensors are anywhere?

For example, I don't know what the normal operating gallery pressure should be in Derek's picture above? If there was a central database somewhere, you could cross reference values, and it would make spotting potential issues much easier etc?

Motor temp of the compressor is the temp of the motor body.
The Compressor temp is the temp at the compressor head part.

Great update by the way, thanks.

Steve

Thanks Steve, makes sense. Thumbs Up Bow down

A database of "normal" values would take all the fun out of my live value paranoia. Laughing Laughing

No worries Derek, such a database does not exist. The logging capabilities of the tool are great for comparison.

I'm the same as DSL. When I go to update the firmware it says I have the latest build 3.00.00 2134. How do I get to the most up to date version?

I checked mine this morning and I'm the same as you Terryall. I think 2134 is the most up to date release version and the new version is a beta. I'm not registered with Pat as a beta tester yet, so I'd assume that you're not either?

I'm sure someone will be along soon to confirm. Thumbs Up

I had a very quick play with it when I got back to the hotel from the site I'm working on and I notice the live values now have tested and untested values - and that Injector offsets exist in both - and give different values. I preferred the look of the untested ones Whistle

Correct, the tested ones will also be in the untested list. However, in this particular case, in order to show up correctly, the ECU needs to be set into another mode then what's normally used for other tested and all untested live values. We do verify before adding a new one to the tested list hence why it shows up correctly. Eventually, this will also be done for untested ones.

To our knowledge, there aren't that many of these so the majority will match.

Rule of thumb is to check if what's required is in the tested list and move to the untested when not.
