Fuel Line leak [bad leck],under engine bay...

Quick question everyone hope well,

Ive very bad fuel leak,

it's under the front of the engine, pointing it is coming  out, my question local mechanic looked at it says the engine out to be fixed, said could be the fuel line/pump near rear of disco, doesn't speaclise serving or repairing them, it had oil light on and issue with over heating as one problem, the leak.

Happened all within 1hour, after travelling 2 hour road trip, any help on as leak is only from under engine bay.. Thanks J

your post isn't very clear.

I doubt the engine needs to be removed to fix a fuel leak. Remove the undertray and try and find the leak.

Don't drive with your Oil light on. That will instantly destroy the engine. (Though you can rarely get false alarms)

Overheating will destroy engine too.

Suggest you don't drive it and find a specialist. Will save money in the long run

Are you sure it is fuel and not water?- check the engine cover has not rubbed through the top radiator hose.
If it is fuel it may be the fuel feed to the auxiliary heater.
Check oil and water level before starting the engine.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

A split fuel return pipe, the pipes that link from injector to injector will pump out loads of fuel as most of the fuel delivered to the injectors is returned. Had it happen twice so replaced the whole return pipe and injector clips.
