yah.
Did a bit of looking around.
Do I really want to spend anywhere between € 1200 and € 1700 (depending on how you want to control it) for 3 minutes times 3 months a year?

You want something like a Kenlowe block heater.

Plugs into the mains to preheat the engine coolant - so works with Diesel or Petrol vehicles.
