Try this place by Le Mans for either stop over or whole holiday. The atmosphere is great and the facilities are excellent, loads laid on in peak season and kids clubs which are well run and liked by the kids. We have been going there for about eight years but are youngsters, most have been going there for 20 plus years. Last year when we were there one family had 4 generations there who had been going fo 30 years.

Russell,
I looked at Chateau Chanteloupe after you recommended it last year, I just need to work my route around it some time as it looks well worth a visit.
Are you sure your not on commission though

Good for an overnighter, just under 2 hours from Calais and 10 mins from the A28 (between Abbeville and Rouen).

Dale kindly recommended pin parasol and we got in there for 8 nights until 9th August but then they are full.
We really wanted to get into Pin Parasol but we left it too late, we're going to a site near Sarlat for our two weeks this year. First time touring France with our new (to us) caravan.
