With a little restyling?
No need for that?
I'm happy with two years out for a change (assuming DiscoStu meant 2 years for both Euro IV AND restyling) - restyling devalues existing models. Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

According to Euro IV regs, all cars registered after the 1st Oct 2006 must be Euro IV compliant.
LR have been very careful to not display any Euro III or IV compliance info on their marketing blurb and after a couple of calls by me to LR the message was that they were not sure if it was or wasn't, and if it wasn't when it would be.... so thats clear then
Someone within LR must have the full story on this. Why would this issue of compliance be such a grey/secretive area?
Ho hum, don't really care as I pick up my new SE on 30th June and I'm sure compliance will not feature greatly in my thoughts that day.NOW SOLD: 2006 TDV6 SE Auto Zermatt silver with Alpaca Leather

Strange , I thought it comes into force on January 1st 2007
Anyway, They have managed to get the Jaguar tdv6 to comply already so it should be fairly straightforward to adapt the almost identical tdv6 in the Disco. A lot of commentary is talking about minor technical adjustments combined with particulate filtering to do the job.
Surely LR are aware of the forthcoming transition to Euro5 and have a strategy for the tdv6.....they have already indicated that the new Defender will use the tranny diesel from 2007 as the TD5 will not comply without a major overhaul.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
