Does the message centre display either 'Park Brake Fault' or 'Check Brake Pads'?

EPB is a separate system using brake shoes in the rear brake disc/drum combo; doesn't use the pads.

These shoes don't wear as they never meet a rotating drum. Ergo the problem is elsewhere, which leaves a very large field of electronic and mechanical problems, unfortunately.

Adjustment has to be first priority, stripping and cleaning brake assemblies second priority, very close friendship with bank manager recommended if first two don't work.

2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods

I pressume you have a manual then. Requires a XY switch calibration by the sound of it.

Put into low range. Drive in all gears with clutch pedal fully up until the gear indicator displays the gear (starting with reverse). Switch off, fault should clear on restart.

Have just come back from my local land rover specilist who has just connected the diagonsitc equipment to my car , result's the transfer box had lost communication with the car, so thay drove the car in low gear box in all gears starting with reverse letting the clutch out all the way then resetting the fault code.
Original fault may have been caused wheh I had a flat battery a few months ago when spot light relay went wrong and turned the spot lights on during the night.
Thanks for all of the reply's.
