Welcome to the madhouse!

Personally I'd name them so that you can get feedback and any experiences.

Sadly there are many really poor refurb merchants out there and some that are particularly dodgy.

NWS and Oval Autos are the typical reputable go to refurbers unless using a genuine short engine. There is another one but his name escapes me (QP?). Confused

Anyway, have a search on here.

RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE Suspected Egr pipes

thank you every one you have answered my Question! The company I was talking about on line was Ovel -Autos I am looking at buying a discovery 4 so need all the help I can get..? looking for one I can save from going to the (scrapyard heaven ) so what Major obd2 codes should I look out for when doing a scan ..? There's is one advert the owner has but up its says something like this..?

(Owned as our family car for the last 1.5 years, it’s been brilliant but recently formed an issue putting it into restricted performance. Which I’ve spoken to a few garages (including specialist) & been advised it’s the metal egr pipes. Can be driven but sounds like a tractor & is in limp mode, so wouldn’t recommend )

be helpful for some advice on this one thank you. First timer, Cheers all.

It depends what your budget is. There are many out there. A good service history is more important than mileage.

Also have a look on here or put a wanted ad out. At least you'd be buying a known car.

Just be aware these things are best used regularly, they don't like short journeys, are expensive to maintain properly if not previously well looked after and you need a good independent like Oval Autos etc.

Other than that they are brilliant Thumbs Up . I still keep looking at them and thinking about chopping my Defender in for one again.

You could also put a link to the ad for the one you are looking at incase it's known on here. Thumbs Up

Disco_Mikey is MMP Land Rover in Dundee - I suppose about 100 miles from you.

Well worth having a look at reviews on the web, and keeping him in mind.
