D4 Landmark MY16 Infotainment upgrade

This has probably been answered, but I can't for the life of me find a suitable answer in the forums, so here goes.
I've just purchased MY16 D4 Landmark and I would like some advice, please.
I would like to upgrade the infotainment screen to allow Android Auto and Apple Carplay connections, and also to be able to use Google Maps, Spotify, etc. There are various options available, but I don't want to change the dash layout (by fitting one of those Tesla-style screens) and preferably use the existing screen, or replace it with a similar screen.
The next question is, what replacement system will still allow me to utilize the DVD/TV function for the rear screens?
There are numerous replacement systems available, but they don't mention the DVD/TV system.

You'll loose DVD function (Tv stays though) on the above but the Carplay install is excellent, if a little 'about the houses' to reconnect if it drops connection, rather when it drops connection.

If you aren't too bothered about DVD function then overall I recommend the fit. I had it installed last month.

Thanks Jim, that's just the info I needed. I think I'll go for this IDcore system, as it looks to tick most of the boxes.

Oh...another question. How do I check if I have a Bosch of Harman system?

Or there's this option for £65 that someone has just installed which looks quite enticing. Just plugs in as far as I can see. Contact the OP for details.

I went with a second screen and it works well.
Also like the position as it’s easier to use than the built in display.
You also don’t lose any of the original functions and it’s easy to take out as well.
The only issue I’ve found is that it boots up quicker than the LR system so it isn’t always picked up automatically by the Bluetooth audio.
This means you have to select a different source and then go back to the original source for it to play through the car’s audio.
Hope this helps.
