Hi, does anyone know if there is a dog barrier for the D3 on the market. Want to be able to stop my Border Collie jumping onto our newborn daughter in her baby capsule.'06 TDV6 SE AUTO BUCKINGHAM BLUE

Yep, there's the LR dog guard, part number VUB501170
There is an aftermarket top-half only one but I can't remember the manufacturer
The LR one is easy to fit and can be removed in less than seven minutes
I have the full dog guard from land rover - pain to fit initially but then only takes minutes to remove / refit. Strong enought to stop a train i think or a 60Kg dog in my case. For those of you who want to keep the boot clean from muddy paws, hair etc i can.t recommend the following enough
Thanks guys! The dog guard from paddock spares is just what I'm after. I like the Dog Bag's portability and the way it keeps the car clean as well though.
Problem now is shipping something so bulky to oz.........'06 TDV6 SE AUTO BUCKINGHAM BLUE

Matt, that dog does not look happy! How can he splatter the window with drool if in a tent! Nice looking hound though, have a large puppy (7 months) just like him!

PS I did by far prefer the RRS tailgate for dog use compared with D3s, getting 2 reluctant puppies into the D3 can be a pain, I'll do my back in lifting them.

'She' was about 10 months old when this photo was taken too. She looked sad because I think she just realised that she wasn't going for a trip in car for a special long walk, but instead just a photo shoot!
Yes, the RRS hatch was better for dogs to jump into the boot, but then the hatch was awkward to shut and the glass section rattled when slammed. I much prefer the D3 design.Matt

Oops, meant she! Aplogise to her please for me.
My hounds don't like the car (any car) as they have 15 acres of paddock & wood to run in & chase rabbits. They think the car is for going to training or (not for a while) the vets. Just wait til they go to Auntie Kays (the kennels) in it! They can't understand taht they meet other dogs with a car ride walk, also get longer walks.
Getting used to the D3 tailgate, really miss the D2 way of doing things. Even at access height it can be really high for them. Had the RRS type tailgate in a BMW 5 estate I owner many years ago & thought it was great for previous dogs. Have to park where there is a change of slope to get them in more easily or near a mound.

Just an update re the LR Cargo Barrier. Basically there isn't one available at the moment in Australia.
Went to a local LR dealer to buy one and was told that it has been withdrawn from sale as it apparently doesn't meet the Australian Design Rules. (ie it is not strong enough)
LR Australia is supposed to be working with Milford to develop a more sturdy item. Installation of this will entail some drilling of holes for mounting screws.'06 TDV6 SE AUTO BUCKINGHAM BLUE

I've heard the Aussies like their animal fences, but the Land Rover one not strong enough??
I didn't think dingoes got that big...
If you could arrange for a 2 week stay over there, I'd be glad to bring you a Paddock dog guard. From the pics I've seen on here, Tasmania is stunning.Disco 5 HSE Lux

All I want is something to stop the dog from jumping on my newborn baby.
Another case of the fear of litigation gone mad over here IMHO.
Tassie is nice. This is the view from work.....
