Can you fit the load cover when the guard is in place?

Not for when the dog is in....

But it would be useful for quickly concealing luggage

the load cover is fitted on mine with the dog guard in place - although it's a pain in the :censored to fit the 'cassette' after the dog guard, it can be fitted prior to the dog guard easily and then deployed when needed

I have just looked at the fitting instructions.

Do the brackets, which I assume are designed to stay in place, cause a risk of scratching delicate persons?....

I have a Paddock half-guard that took less than a week from order to Swiss delivery. So that part I rate highly.....

Part two of the rating will come with installation; beer + screwdriver hopefully = success Wink Very Happy

Id recommend anyone to use a simple and inexpensive dog crate off ebay. for a small/medium sized dog if you get the right size you should still be able to use one of the rear seats with the cage in there.

reasons why a crate? not a guard?

when you open the back the dog cant jump out / chaase that cat you didnt see.

if you are in a crash and a window is smashed the dog cant bolt in panic and will get thrown about far less.

obviouly you have space in the boot still which the dog cant get to... like the shopping.

oh and if the kids play up it comes in usefull too Laughing

Please post pictures and let us know who easy the Paddock guard is to remove/refit when you want to use all three rows of seats.

Thanks guys! The dog guard from paddock spares is just what I'm after. I like the Dog Bag's portability and the way it keeps the car clean as well though.

Problem now is shipping something so bulky to oz.........

Ha ha ha, yeah, good luck with the Shipping.

I got a quote for GBP300.00, for an item with was only GBP100.00

Needless to say, I didn't go through with it.

The Paddock half-guard takes 5 minutes to prepare and then can be dropped into place via the trunk (it ends up being too wide from row 2).

Drop it into the grooves and then use the thumbscrews to secure two j-bolts to the hooks in the floor. Hardest thing was the deep LR loadbay protector was in the way and I was too lazy to remove. However the bolts slot down the side so I did not have to cut through.

In + out now would be 2 minutes. I'd even consider letting row 3 passengers limbo under it as they should be belted-in, right? Wink

Billy bonus of this half-guard for me is that I can keep it in and load-through (unless of course the load is too tall). This won the purchase for me Smile

And being non-EU, it was £85 and VAT-free. Doubtless UPS will send me a bill but at 7.6%, VAT is less upsetting here Wink

Edit: pictures to come Smile
