As others have said the horizontal lights don't break up the back end. And they made a split tailgate on the FFRR so it's possible...16 D4 Landmark

Yes with horizontal lights you cannot achieve a balanced offset look that's why the current model looks so odd. By making the lights vertical you can move the offset plate to the edge and all of a sudden it looks OK again...

The back of the FF has been built a lot flatter to make the lower hinge practical. Would McGovern corrupt what he thinks is stylish design, just to please “untrained” customers?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
