Will a 2009+ D4 Bumper fit a 2005 D3 without issues?

Yes, will do.

Fitted the newer D3 bumper to my 05 D3 a good few years ago.

Was a straight swap for me [even with pdc]. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

I take it you mean "the new D4 bumper"....

No, it was the later model D3 bumper .... which then became the D4 bumper when the D4 was launched.

edited to add: this is it fitted [but with the addittional underskirt].

IIRC the PDC sensors are different and have different connectors?

I assume a bit of splicing old to new loom will result in working sensors?

Don't recall any electrical/connector issues in fitting mine.
I certainly didn't have to change/adapt anything electrically.

But don't know if new bumper came with/without PDC and I just took them from the old D3 bumper - was that long ago? I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

That's because you fitted an 09MY D3 bumper, but a D4 has different sensors to any D3
