Any thoughts anyone?
I'm thinking of changing my disco 3 it's high mileage and I'm thinking of doing a bit of touring through Europe. May be with a caravan or just a roof tent. As my 3 (touch wood) is running well at the moment thought this might be the time to sell.
My disco 3 has 182,000 miles on the clock. I bought a few years ago spur of the moment Covid purchase. As expected I've spent a little on it keeping it going but was expecting that.
The disco 4 seems very similar to the 3 just a little more refined. From what I've read best to go for 2014 and later but of course that comes with a higher price.
Look forward to hearing some insight 1971 Series 2a sold (regrettably)

2004 discovery td5 sold

I’d go with the one you know rather than the one you don’t.
Now, depending on where and when in Europe you’re driving you might need the vehicle to conform to some emission level… and stickers like Crit’Air in France, German emissions sticker, etc.
That being said, a 2016 D4 with everything and Euro 6 emissions is probably nicer than a 2005 D3 TDV6. For emissions purposes the Euro 6 diesel is equivalent to a Euro 4 petrol
