I still would not want to be anywhere else but my D3 in a crash.

Just be thankful the D3 didn't return the sort of result that the Chinese manufactured Jiangling Landwind (copy of Isuzu Rodeo) managed. See link below.
Woe betide LR if it gets sold off to a foreign country with those sort of credentials.

In my earlier post I forgot to mention that the mighty Ford Motor Company owns a share of JMC (Jiangling Motor Company) and from the JMC website seem to produce Transit vans among other vehicles and engines.
Hence my concern with talk of sales of Land Rover but I believe that there is no way that Ford would allow the LR name to be offloaded to China (or elsewhere) as there is too much at stake. The world's best 4x4 cannot be left to flounder in the hands of a country or manufacturer that has not got the expertise to continue to produce a range of fine and highly desirable offroaders. And that doesn't matter if its the Defender, Range Rover or somewhere in between (ie the D3/LR3)!
Rant over, resume normal viewing please...

TBH why would you flog of a profitable part of your business and if they do I dont really care as long as they keep their fingers out of the pie and let Land Rover do what they do best
