Discounts on LED replacement side and tail/stop lights

Smile I have been very pleased with LED bulbs I have used to replace both my front side lights and the tail and stop lights (same unit fits both).

When I was speaking with UltraLed (ultraleds.co.uk) they offered a 10% discount on any orders of £20 or over.

For side light replacement bulbs I am using (U5013S) 501/194 Side Light / Dash Bulb 30 Lumen Wide Angled SMT Xenon White. The tail stop light bulbs are U38035R(380) 35 Red Led Stop & Tail Bulb (Single) 120%. They all come with a one year guarantee. To obtain the discount quote DISCOVER10.

I know this sounds like an advert but I have no connection with UltraLed, I'm just pleased with them so thought others might be interested too.

I have been looking at these but are they definitely legal for UK road use? - no one seems to be sure that I have asked.

I too have found ultraled to be good and very prompt with my orders.

I did quite a bit of research into these and would recommend:

http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/u5015hpw501194t...-1407.html
For the front side and number plate lights (x4 in total)

http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/u38048r-stop-ta...-1197.html
For the rear stop & tail lights (x4 in total)

They all use the reflectors much better than the other led's and seem even brighter than the old bulbs. I'm not sure the 38035R's give enough light difference between the two elements of side and brake. The colour of the side/number lights is now much closer to the headlights and now have that lexus daylight look!

Don't think of changing the indicators unless you want to get into loading the flasher unit which can't cope with the low power draw of led's.

Just ordered sidelight and number plate LEDs this weekend.

TazDaz, Yep very red !!! Laughing
I did seem to blow a lot of the old bulbs and the last straw was when I looked and noticed only 1 of 4 rear lights working!

Martrum, I haven't touched the indicators yet - the lack of load from the LED's screws the flasher unit so they flash much too fast, as if a bulb's gone. This can be fixed with a 'load resistor kit' also available from ultraleds but I thought I would leave that for now. I like the look of LED indicators, just too much hassle for something only I would notice. Rolling Eyes

I am hoping that the I get alot more life out of these LED replacements as I seemed to be replacing the old ones once a month even though LR have told me that there is not a problem Rolling Eyes

The warranty has not really amounted to much for me so I am not to bothered with what LR say anymore Evil or Very Mad

I am sure that if there were some sort of problem LR would come up with an ingenious excuse not to cover it under warraty anyway Whistle Whistle

Yup, stop lights are pretty darn fine. Fitted mine about 6 weeks back So where in Dorset are you Martrum?
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
